The ideal candidate is highly motivated with a minimum of 5 years sales experience in the Travel industry with Incentive and Meeting markets experience, this self-disciplined and results oriented sales professional with a proven track record who will take responsibility for managing Carnival’s growth in this important market. This position requires ongoing and concentrated efforts toward developing new meeting and incentive business for all Carnival Cruise Lines ships and itineraries with a primary focus on group business. You must also have excellent English written and verbal communication skills, a professional appearance and be comfortable with public speaking and the challenges of producing with little day-to-day supervision. The PC literate individual must be highly motivated, possess strong organizational, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Managing and selling to assigned Incentive House Accounts through a variety of processes. These include:
· Face to face contact in their offices.
· Conducting group training seminars and presentations on the Carnival product.
· Site inspection visits
· Sailings on our ships, pre inaugural events, entertaining within the Carnival Cruise Lines guidelines, establishing professional business relationships and using creative and unique ideas and approaches to build on that customer base business volume.
· Managing and selling to Direct Corporate end users through a variety of processes. In addition to those listed above for the Incentive House Accounts, these include: Cold call customer contact based on leads generated in our direct mail efforts, magazine advertising campaign and other sources including creative development on the part of the Manager. Follow up, sales activities and customer contact and closing on the business as a result of these calls are the responsibility of the Manager.
· Develop new incentive partners through Non-Incentive House Incentive and Travel Agency Discount. In addition to the actions and activities listed in the above description, these include: Assist Business Development Managers (BDM?s) with the development of their targeted incentive accounts and agencies, seeking out new agency and business opportunities on their own and working with them to create new business while keeping the BDM informed.
The ambitious candidate must be able to travel up to 50% and be flexible to work week-ends and Holidays. A Bachelor?s degree in a similar discipline or equivalent work experience is highly preferred.
