Position requires at least three year’s experience working in related travel and / or maritime industry fields, preferably the cruise industry, shipboard management, port agency or port management. Responsibilities include attending vessel from arrival to departure, working with U.S. Customs & Border Protection officials and other authorities.
Primary duties comprise of assisting the Terminal Manager with all matters related to facility management including scheduling repairs and maintenance, ordering supplies, supervising & directing custodial staff, supervising parking garage operations and coordinating with other supervisory staff on administrative issues.
In addition, the qualified individual will act as the Alternate Facility Security Officer and supervise all security operations and administer the Facility Security Plan under the direction of the Terminal Manager (Port Facility Security Officer).
Additional duties include supervising the agent for ships visiting the port .The PC literate
individual must be proficient in MS Office and have strong English verbal/written communication skills; The ideal candidate must: be a self-starter, able to work under minimal and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. BA / BS degree in a related field desired, however experience may substitute for some education.
